Zucchini fries from the air fryer : Delicious side dish

Air fryer zucchini fries are a quick and easy way to get soft and tasty roasted zucchini using very little oil. These zucchini fries are perfect for those on a diet or simply looking for a lighter alternative, offering a healthy dish without sacrificing flavor. You can season the zucchini in the air fryer with your favorite herbs – parsley, mint, oregano, basil, chives… – and despite minimal oil use, they’ll turn golden and irresistible.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (500 g) zucchini
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • A few mint leaves
  • 1 pinch of oregano

How to prepare Zucchini fries from the air fryer:

  1. First, wash and dry the zucchini. Peel them and then cut them in half lengthwise.
  2. Cut each half in half again, then cut each quarter into 3 or 4 pieces.
  3. You should end up with sticks that are not too thin and as uniform in size as possible.
  4. Wash the herbs, dry them, and finely chop them with a knife.
  5. Place the zucchini strips slightly overlapping in the air fryer basket, after lining it with a sheet of air fryer paper. Brush with a tablespoon of oil. Season with a pinch of salt, freshly ground pepper, and the chopped herbs.
  6. Mix briefly with your hands to distribute the seasonings evenly on all the zucchini.
  7. Then cook the zucchini in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes (preheating is not necessary). Halfway through cooking, briefly stir the zucchini to ensure even cooking. When they’re lightly browned, remove from the air fryer and immediately place on a platter.
