Quick Chickpea Flour Rolls: No Yeast, Instant, Light, and Delicious! By now those who follow me know how much I love chickpeas and preparing Recipes with chickpea flour, I have already made taralli and crackers and so this time I wanted to try making homemade Chickpea Flour Rolls, I wasn’t sure about the result and instead they surprised me! Soft, good, light and fragrant and without yeast!
So all you have to do is prepare the dough which is ready in 10 minutes, shape and bake!
Can’t believe it? I will also leave you all the steps, so you will see for yourself!
Ingredients:
- 240g (2 cups) chickpea flour (gram flour)
- 100ml (1/2 cup) water
- 30ml (2 tablespoons) extra virgin olive oil
- Herbs and spices of your choice
- Salt to taste
How to make quick Chickpea Flour Rolls :
- To prepare the Chickpea Flour Rolls first put the chickpea flour in a bowl, add the spices, I chose pepper and oregano, salt and extra virgin olive oil.
- Start adding the water a little at a time and in the meantime stir the mixture with a whisk.
- Knead the chickpea bread dough by hand until you have a soft, workable loaf.
- Break off pieces of about 25 g and flatten them, helping yourself with a little chickpea flour.
- Roll them on themselves and shape the bread with chickpea flour.
- Place the homemade rolls on a baking sheet with baking paper, make incisions and add extra virgin olive oil to the surface.
- Bake the chickpea flour rolls in a static oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 25 minutes.
