Today, I’d like to share with you the recipe for this Orange Bundt Cake. It’s a super soft and light cake, ideal for breakfast and also perfect for completing a healthy and delicious snack. The simple truth is that it’s delicious. Let’s read how to prepare it.
Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp (140g) butter (plus extra for greasing the pan)
- 3/4 cup (150g) sugar
- 3 medium eggs
- 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp (200ml) orange juice (about 2-3 oranges)
- Zest of 1 unwaxed orange
- 1 packet (about 2 tsp) baking powder
- Powdered sugar (for decorating)
How to prepare Orange Bundt Cake:
- Put the eggs together with the sugar in a bowl and whisk until light and fluffy.
- Then add the soft (but not melted) butter and whisk again.
- Zest one orange using a citrus grater.
- Squeeze two (or three) oranges to obtain 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp (200ml) of juice.
- Add the juice and zest to the mixing bowl and mix well with a spatula or spoon.
- Now gradually incorporate the flour, sifting it together with the baking powder through a fine-mesh sieve.
- Pour the batter into a buttered, floured, or baking powder-dusted bundt pan with a diameter of about 9.5 inches (24 cm) and smooth the top.
- Bake the orange bundt cake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 35 minutes. Before removing it from the oven, check if it’s really done by inserting a toothpick in the center, which should come out dry and clean. If not, extend the baking time by a few minutes.
- Let the cake cool completely before removing it from the pan and turning it out onto a serving plate. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Enjoy! Victoria
